Rhodonite

It is quite a plain stone when in his rough state. But if you polish or grind it, it will become
beautifully pink with dark grey spots.
The rough version found in the Miyu collection sometimes has a whole grey side. Sometimes is is
completely pink en sometimes spotted. It's surface feels powder like.

As a rough stone, I look simple, almost ugly. You wouldn’t think twice about throwing me away. I’m your best friend when you’re prickly and irritable.The world will seem a more positive place. Rhodonite is named after the Greek word 'rhodon" which means rose. The Romans always
took rhodonite with them on their travels. When there was danger up ahead, the person wearing the
stone would feel his heart rate go up. This way they were protected against muggers and bad weather.
Besides that everybody stayed healthy for as long as they travelled. Well they didn't have the
comfots of modern day travelling, so a stone like that did come in handy.
Rough, the stone looks plain, you would almost toss it, but beware; you can find beautiful
patterns in the stone. Try making it wet.
